How do I enrol my child??

An Insight Early Learning team member will contact you to assist you with everything you need to know, including available spaces, arranging tours, any upcoming open days, or to answer any questions you have regarding your preferred centre. Alternatively, please contact us.

The major enrolment period is in December/January but enrolments also happen sporadically throughout the year.

Do you have part time places?

Yes, we have part time full-day places available. We ask our families who enrol part time to choose either a Friday or a Monday as a part of their package.

Do you offer sessional care?

We offer a 10-hour daily session available at the same daily rate.

How is the waitlist managed?

Waitlists are regularly reviewed and families are contacted once a place becomes available. There is no cost to join a waiting list, but we do ask you to notify us if you no longer require a place.

What are the daily fees?

Fees vary from centre to centre and are also dependent on factors such as the number of days in care, the age of your child, as well as your eligibility for any government subsidies. We recommend speaking with your Centre Director who will be able to provide you with a quote.

What do the fees cover?

The daily rate covers all nappies, sunscreen, and all meals including dairy milk and soy milk, morning tea, cooked lunch, afternoon tea, and late snacks. Our menu covers 80% of children’s daily nutritional requirements.

Do you cater for children with allergies or cultural/religious requirements?

Yes. For children with health needs, we create a medical action plan to support their specific requirement. Children with cultural or dietary requirements are also catered for individually.

What is orientation and why do I have to do it if my child has been in long day care previously?

Orientation is a great opportunity for you to get to know the educators in your child’s classroom. Over a series of 4 visits, you and your child can get to know our team better, and we get the opportunity to meet and talk with you. At the Centre Director’s discretion, she may choose to waive some of the orientation days.

What happens if my scheduled day falls on a public holiday?

Insight Early Learning services close for public holidays. If your scheduled booked day falls on a public holiday, fees will still apply as staff and operating costs still need to be covered. The Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS) covers up to 42 absence days a year, which includes public holidays. Thus, unless you exceed this quota, you will be eligible for the CCS discount on public holidays.

Do I still need to pay for a scheduled day if my child is sick?

Yes, fees still apply for sick days. The Child Care Subsidy will cover up to 42 absence days a year with no documentation and unlimited sick days with the provision of a medical certificate or similar.

What happens when we go on holidays?

Normal fees apply for all absences (including Public Holidays) that fall on a usual day of attendance. We do offer a 20% holiday discount on the gap fee for up to 2 weeks per year.

What are the opening times for my centre?

Please check the page for each centre for its opening times. All Insight Early Learning services are open all 52 weeks of the year. We close early at 4 PM on Christmas Eve and 4 PM on New Year’s Eve when they fall on a weekday. This supports our teams with their family preparations for the holidays.

What government rebates and benefits are available to families?

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment offered by the Australian Government for which you may be eligible. To find out if you are eligible for CSS, please visit the Department of Human Services website humanservices.gov.au.

Depending on your personal circumstances, there may also be other government funding available.

What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

On 2 July 2018, the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate was replaced by a single Child Care Subsidy. The Child Care Subsidy is means tested based on the combined family income, the fortnightly activity of families – such as work, study or volunteering – and the type of service a child attends. As part of the Child Care Subsidy, the number of hours of subsidised care you’ll be entitled to will be based on your level of recognised activity. Understanding the different types of activity that will be recognised is key to maximising your Child Care Subsidy.
