Our Curriculum

Insight Early Learning offers your child an innovative play-based curriculum that is guided by the Australian Early Years Learning Framework as well as My Time Our Place, part of the Australian Government's National Quality Framework to ensure children receive the highest standards of education and careOur curriculum is further informed by internationally recognised best practices and current research, and underpinned by the importance of nurturing strong relationships.

The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) is at the heart of our program at Little Flyers Darwin and is firmly rooted in developing a child's sense of being, becoming and belonging through a play based learning environment.  Dividing classrooms by age is approximate; at all times we look at an individual child’s developmental needs when they are considered for a classroom.

At Insight, we strongly believe in empowering and equipping children to be confident decision-makers. Our early education program inspires meaningful learning for children by embracing the value of play and fostering strong reciprocal relationships. As Educators, we strongly advocate for children as 'capable and confident learners' and use intentional teaching moments as a means to actively take a role in connecting with children and building on their strengths.

Integral components of our curriculum include:

  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Communication and socialisation skills
  • The sciences, technology and the visual arts
  • Inclusion, social justice, and equity
  • Nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle
  • Mindfulness and gratitude
